DiLeonardo, founder and chairman of the award-winning, architectural interior design firm DiLeonardo International, has spoken at professional conferences and organizations throughout the world on a number of important topics in the hospitality industry. He is a member of the International Hotel Association, the American Hotel & Motel Association, and the National Restaurant Association. In addition, his other professional affiliations include the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification.

He is a former faculty member of Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and the Hotel School at Johnson & Wales University. DiLeonardo received his Doctorate in Business Administration/Hotel Restaurant Design from Johnson & Wales University. He also attended the Boston Architectural College, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Providence College, and the Rhode Island School of Design. He has been a contributor and an editor on various design topics in several international trade and design publications.
