Henry is founder and principal of Robert D. Henry Architects, which offers interior design, architecture, planning, and brand identity.

He has received many awards for his designs, including a “Best Hotel and Spa Award” from Hospitality Design for Orient Retreat in Taichung, Taiwan. His design of Potion Lounge in New York City garnered the cover of the book Bars, Pubs and Cafés: Hot Designs for Cool Spaces.

Henry’s most notable work includes the Canyon Ranch Living Wellness Tower in Chicago, the Wynn Resort Spa in Las Vegas, the Spa at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach, and the AIA award-winning Pasquale Building in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Recently, Henry designed the public and private spaces at the Setai New York, Vdara in Las Vegas, and Mandarin Oriental Miami.

Henry has lectured at the International Spa Association’s conference in the U.S., Asia, and Europe discussing his design philosophy and design projects. He is also the co-author of the book Spa: The Sensuous Experience, a worldwide tour of the most spectacular spas, hand picked by Henry and fellow spa aficionado Julie D. Taylor.
