Friedmutter, founder and CEO of Friedmutter Group, is a registered architect in Nevada and 43 additional states, and holds an unrestricted Nevada gaming license.

After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Cooper Union School of Architecture in 1973, he embarked on a career in architecture, initially working as a project manager for Mervyn’s and Bank of America.

From there, he began to focus on gaming hospitality, working as vice president of design and construction at Steve Wynn’s Atlandia Design (Mirage Resort’s design and development firm) and the same position with Bally’s Casino Resort in Las Vegas. In 1991, he founded Friedmutter Group, a full-service architecture and interior design firm that today specializes in multi-use hospitality/casino/entertainment projects of all sizes around the world.

Friedmutter is a frequent award recipient, receiving the 2008 Hospitality Industry Network Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2007 Sarno Lifetime Achievement Award for Casino Design.
